Meet the Counseling Team

Cherry Lane Counseling in Meridian, Idaho

Cherry Lane Counseling Center (CLC) in Meridian isn’t your typical counseling practice. We are a collective of independent, licensed mental health therapists serving Meridian and the Treasure Valley area. Each clinician operates their own private practice within our professional office, offering personalized counseling and therapy services for children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
Our team provides a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including trauma therapy, EMDR, play therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, and marriage and family counseling. While some professionals can prescribe medication, our counselors do not. Clients who need mental health prescriptions should maintain a separate relationship with a medical provider or psychiatrist.

Since our clinicians are independent and manage their own schedules, they are able to maintain a healthy caseload. This allows them to not be overworked and to be much more present and tuned in to each client they see.
Because each therapist manages their own private practice, contact information may vary. If a phone number is not listed, please call our CLC main line at (208) 887-1911 and leave a message. Our staff will help connect you with the therapist best suited to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions: Therapy at Cherry Lane Counseling

  • Each therapist at Cherry Lane Counseling manages their own billing and insurance. Many are in network with major Idaho insurance providers. Please check each therapist’s page or contact them directly to confirm coverage. Medicaid is not accepted by any clinician.

  • Our therapists do not prescribe medication. If medication is needed, clients should coordinate with their primary care provider or a psychiatrist.

  • When seeing a therapist, you should have the 3 core elements of a healthy therapeutic relationship. This may include a few sessions to feel the clinician out and get to know one another. You should never be afraid to try a new therapist if you are not feeling the 3 core elements, which include:
    ● Trust & Safety: You feel emotionally safe to share openly.● Collaboration: You and the therapist agree on goals and tasks.● Empathy & Warmth: Consistent, non-judgmental, and validating attitude.
If you’re unsure who to contact, call our main line at (208) 887-1911, and we’ll help match you with the best fit.

  • Our clinicians offer a wide range of counseling services, including individual counseling, couples and marriage therapy, and specific modalities, including EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, child-centered play therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
